I am currently recruiting for a Learning and Development Officer on behalf of an engineering company based in Coleshill on a 9-month fixed term contract offering a salary of £25,000 - £30,000.

To be directly involved in the implementation, roll-out and day-to-day management of the Learning Management System. Actively create, organise, and facilitate learning solutions based upon organisation needs.

To be a key point of contact for training relatedenquiries and to support the development, coordination, and delivery of training activities for employees across the group.


Main responsibilities and key activities:

  • Facilitate the implementation of the Learning Management System and ensure it is kept up to date
  • Use of elearning authoring tools to content create training materials for the LMS
  • Custodian of the Group Induction process manage and deliver inductions to new group employees and support the Talent/L&D Business Partner in reviewing its content
  • Support managers with developing onboarding plans for new starters
  • Work with operational departments to ensure inductions and onthejob training is being completed locally
  • PDR process management support definition of process flow and be accountable for facilitating the process with group leaders.
  • To also review development needs and facilitate their close out
  • Support the Talent/L&D Business Partner with the development of training materials and elearning programmes
  • Support competency matrix development and audits
  • Coordinate training courses including some mandatory training needs, technical training, commercial training courses based on training needs spreadsheet
  • Ensure training is covered within budget and tracked
  • Support IATF and ISO audits for Quality and HSE
  • Monitor effectiveness of training through evaluation. Escalation of issues to Talent/L&D BP
  • Provide KPI data for monthly review metrics in line with control tower requirements
  • Support and deliver project initiatives as defined by our strategic PDPR
  • Support Talent/L&D Business Partner with client reviews
  • Build and maintain working relationship with HR Shared Service, ensuring ticketing system is utilised efficiently.
