New role within Global Insurance company to lead the L & D and OD within London primarily but into Europe as the function expands.

Your overall responsibility will be to embed a Learning and OD culture into the organisation. You will do this by reviewingcurrent learning opportunities and how these are delivered and measuring effectiveness of these.


There is presently a small learning function which works but doesn't deliver at the cutting edge to support the growth of the Global organisation.

Presently most learning is delivered by outside vendors so you will review the effectiveness of these and reviewROI as well as reviewing other opportunities within the market to deliver and end to end learning opportunity for all staff, irrespective of their level, education, background and length of tennure.


You will work with the leadership to create an identity to the leadership culture, look at the best way to promote this through formal and informal learning, mentoring and other multi-channel inputs.

You will work on the EVP and linking all activities to the TOM which will include:
Learning and development management

Organisation Design

Leadership recognition and delivery


This role will suit a creative individual who has significant L & D and OD experience ideally gained within a Global organisation.

Ideally you will have worked in either financial services or insurance.

You must have prior experience of developing a functionand should be able to evidence clarity of thought and project and process delivery.

You must be able to work with Senior leaders and should have the credibility and be able to demonstrate success whilst delivering change.

You are expected to be of Graduate level with additional qualifications in HR/ L & D.
