Assistant Planner

Site located in Twickenham (flexibility in site, office and home)

6 month rolling contract

£200 - £300 per day Inside IR35
**REQUIREMENTS: - Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of detailed deployment plans

  • Working closely with the commercial and operational functions and be a strong part of the deployment team
  • Produce detailed trackers to be used to collect and report progress made on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Work closely with the project team to maximise the potential of each project, attend site meetings when necessary to discuss progress and update the project plan together with reporting back on any knockon effects
  • Produce reports and delivery commentary to operation on particular reporting requirements
  • Produce programs, reports and / or extract filters as required by the project team, including indication of deviation from the baseline programme
  • In conjunction with the commercial team, assist with the production of earned value analysis data in compliance with the customer and Morgan Sindall requirements
  • Formally issue delivery programme updates to all parties as required by the contract
  • Attend operation meetings with internal and or external customers and deliver presentation on project progress
  • Develop and produce delivery programme / duration with tender sum and methodology without assistance
  • Manage the planning and delivery programme process by closely monitoring and controlling the development and implementation of the programme and checking completeness of supply chain packages information
  • Ensure planning and programming is produced on time by understanding challenging deadlines, understanding the interface and reliance between elements/disciplines, and developing and monitoring integrated procurement,and delivery programmes
  • Develop the programme into a fully integrated Design, procurement and project programme in coordination with the project team
  • Assess the effects of changes to the contract programme and advice the management if any delay notices/Early warnings are to be raised for extension of time on the project
**RESPONSIBLITIES: - Previously worked in Planner based roles

  • Experience on major infrastructure project specifically sewage treatment
  • Coming from a Engineer based background is beneficial
  • Educated to professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline
  • Through understanding and experience in the use of project management software
  • Extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis
  • Extensive site experience on business related projects in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Extensive experience of the impact that commercial events have on the baseline programme
  • Experience in recognition and recording of any change in requirements
  • Experience of actively measuring and monitoring performance and the presentation of the results in a logical manner to support continuous improvement
  • Experience in the interpretation of data and information and producing it in a clear and logical format
  • Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication
  • Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start up work processes
