As a Trainee Funeral Director with William Purves, you will undertake a period of training and familiarisation with all aspects of the funeral trade in preparation to assume a Funeral Director role.
You will assist Funeral Directors to conduct funeral services, driving funeral vehicles in cortege and provide a 24 hour on call service as part of a rota system.

To undertake a period of training and familiarisation with all aspects of the funeral trade in preparation to assume a Funeral Director role
Assist the Funeral Directors in all funeral duties required to fulfil client's instruction
Ensure the funeral fleet is presented to the highest standards of appearance, including regular valet and maintenance
Assist in the identification, removal and transport of the deceased in a dignified, caring and compassionate manner
Develop and maintain business relationships with external parties such as clergy, florists and crematoria staff
Participate in an on call rota to maintain a 24 hour service
This role involves periods of lone working

Driving licence essential
Salary and benefits offered
Starting trainee salary £27,040 ( Experienced/ Qualified salary dependant on experience)
Increasing to £29,120 after 6 months probation, then £32,200 after 12 months.
