Description
Do you want to create digital models that will be turned into new Specialist Brands products?

Are you excited by the opportunity to develop an idea from concept to finished product in a creative and collaborative environment?

As a Miniatures Designer, you will be responsible for creating exciting new plastic models using C.A.D. that are complementary and consistent to Games Workshop's intellectual property. You will be responsible for the entire process from concept through to Engineering.

We're looking for designers for our Specialist Design Studio, who can realise ideas using digital design software, for example, Freeform or Zbrush.

You will be designing miniatures for one or more of our exciting game systems; Horus Heresy or Necromunda.

Working to a given brief, you will meet scheduled deadlines enthusiastically in a design team environment. You will turn the brief into an exciting concept using 2D or 3D to communicate your idea. Once the concept is approved, you will use digital design software to turn the idea into a model design.

You will then engineer the design to make sure that all of the various parts of the model are fit for purpose and suitable for the next stage of the process, which could include coring, splitting the model up into parts and drafting to ensure the parts are easy to manufacture, all with the hobbyist in mind.

  • Have proven experience in a similar design role working in the Miniatures or computer games industry.
  • Be experienced in portraying ideas in either 2D or 3D using CAD software.
  • Enjoy solving problems and finding the best solutions
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Be comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
  • Have a cando attitude.
  • Enjoy working on their own but also in a wider team in the Specialist Design Studio with other designers, management, support technicians and other departments.
  • Be adaptable to working in a changing working environment.
If you have the drive to constantly improve your skills and knowledge and above all are passionate about designing the best fantasy miniatures in the world whilst working to deadlines, we want to hear from you
