Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Data/Finance Analyst on a permanent basis.

Based within Manchester City Centre this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that pride themselves on their high levels of staff retention.

This role willallow exposure to all areas of the business, will enable someone who doesn't necessarily have a finance background to secure a role in a finance team and offers hybrid working and an excellent benefits package.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys data analysis and reporting to join a growing and stable business which encourage growth and development from within and have an established yet developing finance function.

The client will offer hybridworking, with 3 days from home and 2 in the office.

  • Reconciling various reports on a weekly and monthly basis for a number of different projects using data systems.
  • Identifying and highlighting any anomalies and correcting data issues.
  • Dealing with all finance based queries and resolving or esculating if needed.
  • Ensuring that all issues/queries are resolved within given timescales.
  • Working with other members of the finance team and ensuring the month end process runs smoothly and all deadlines are achieved.
  • Producing management information reports on a regular basis and developing new processes in order to improve efficiencies.
  • Carrying out adhoc and project analysis to identify and rectify issues caused by the production of information.
  • Supporting the team and developing own skillset by experiencing and using different analysis tools.
  • Ensuring that all supporting documentation and administration is completed.
  • Liaising with other teams within the business and being a point of reference for any analytical queries or problems.

You will:

  • Have experience of working within a similar data focused role
  • Ideally have an understanding of the finance function however this isn't essential
  • Have strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Be a a strong communicator with the ability to present findings back to key stakeholders
  • Ideally have Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Have good organisational and planning skills with the ability to work proactively and unsupervised when required
  • Be able to look for ways to improve current processes and streamline existing procedures
