Production Manager / Production / Engineering / Manager
Our client, a well-established organisation based in Northampton are urgently seeking a Production Manager to join their busy and successful team.
Specific Duties:

- Ensuring all Maintenance and Calibration is carried out and up to date and all equipment in use is within calibration and working correctly.
- Monitor the completion of maintenance records and databases.
- Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
- Monitoring rejects and taking the necessary actions promptly.
- Staff utilisation ensuring maximum effectiveness of the team, monitoring staff induction, attendance, and performance utilising Tribe.
- Coach and mentor staff, hold regular staff meetings and maintain Team Information Board.
- Communicate effectively with other departments sharing relevant information.
- Ensuring training needs of production are planned, adequate and allows flexibility and training is reviewed regularly.
- Completion of related training forms and reviews.
- Purchase Orders raised promptly and supplier approval sought if required.
- Maintaining SLA with external suppliers and keeping contracts up to date.
- Production planning to meet targets/KPIs.
- Complete production figures / dashboard and monitor trends.
- Complete WIP daily and ensure chases are completed.
- Check and sign off production records and file.
- Ensure all product testing is carried out and conforms to specifications.
- Create and maintain Production range of SOPs, updating as required using CCN.
- Raise NCRs and CAPAs as required and follow up resulting actions to ensure completion by target date.
- Overview of customer returns and production complaints
- Sourcing, testing and validation of new equipment.
- Internal reviews to identify, test and record changes.
- Writing production reports, including analysis of data as required.
- Record keeping maintain appropriate records and archives.
- Carry out Lean projects to continually improve production effectiveness.
