We are partnering with a brilliant and fast paced PE backed SME FMCG and retail business to appoint a newly created FC role.

The company was established over 25 years ago and has grown and developed impressively, they are now in an exciting period of furthergrowth, change and transformation, backed by an impressive Private Equity partner.

About the role

This Financial Controller role will report directly into the FD who has an impressive background and will be a great mentor to the successful individual.

The FC will manage the finance team on a day-to-day basis and take ownership of all financial reporting,continuous improvement and provision of commercial decision making information.

Key responsibilities

Financial reporting, including monthly board pack and management accounts with full commentary, weekly investor and lender reporting, financial accounting
Team management, development and coaching
Budgeting and forecasting
Payroll
Tax
Controls and Continuous improvement

Person profile

ACA, ACCA background from a recognised accountancy practice would be beneficial but all qualified accountants will be considered
An adaptable style
Hands on, and able to "do the work" as well as manage others
Knowledge of all regulatory and financial reporting requirements
Knowledge and experience in business operations and understanding of the financial drivers of business performance.
Strong cognitive and analytical ability
Commercial awareness
