Our progressive firm of Rural Surveyors and Consultants, now have 6 offices through Scotland and Northern England, looking to expand further within the next few years.


The Role
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for delivering advice to land owners and occupiers on utilities matters.
  • Assist with a range of projects for both new and existing infrastructure including water mains and sewers; gas pipelines and above ground installations; electricity overhead pole lines, pylons and underground cables; and telecommunications overhead lines, underground cables and associated apparatus.
  • Manage instructions from start to finish including, agreeing terms of entry, accommodation works, through to ensuring that sites are fully reinstated, and/or the appropriate compensation is paid for reinstatement, losses and disturbance.
  • Prepare fee estimates and quotations for approval by associate/director.
  • Help supervise work of more junior team members.
  • Engage in business development activities and be active in the promotion of the company and seek opportunities for new work.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of an effective department and business plan developed inline with the D&R vision.
  • Develop relationships with clients including gaining a good knowledge of the client's business, economic drivers, market and sector requirements to ensure advice is relevant and commercial.

What you will need to succeed
Qualifications and IT skills

  • Relevant degree desirable.
  • CAAV qualification desirable.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft office including word, PowerPoint and excel.
  • First rate technical skills needed to support the client work of the department.
  • Full UK Driving License.
