Education and Training Lead


Location:

Home-based, with weekly travel to deliver programme activities within the East region (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs, Beds, Herts, Essex), with the occasional overnight stay.


Salary:
£27,914, London & Surrounding Counties - £30,370

Founded in 1997, GamCare is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms.


We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.


GamCare's successful harm prevention and support service for young people currently delivers a national Youth Programme aiming to raise awareness of gambling-related harm and providing support via GamCare's Young People's Support Service.


We strive to ensure young people, their parents, and the professionals working with them are equipped to make informed choices about gambling and have access to age-appropriate support, with the overall aim of reducing gambling harms experienced by young people.


Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your regional colleagues to develop new and maintain existing relationships with key stakeholders, aiming to meet your collective regional targets and overall programme targets, whilst maximising opportunities across other GamCare programmes and treatment services.
  • Act as a frontline ambassador for GamCare, upholding our values and championing the organisation's work through your interactions with external stakeholders.
  • Utilising your skills and experience in public speaking, presenting, and facilitating, deliver interactive and engaging sessions to young people, professionals, and parents/carers to raise awareness of gamblingrelated harm experienced by young people.
  • Ensuring the relevant monitoring and evaluation forms are provided and encouraging the completion of pre and post activity surveys to ensure the programme can evidence outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationship with your colleagues in the youth programme, our partner networks, and across GamCare to ensure a team culture of collaboration and ongoing improvement.
  • Share best practice and build a positive team environment, ensuring our stakeholders have a memorable experience, and we deliver the best possible programme.
  • If you are skilled at engaging young people or facilitating training and can build strong relationships with stakeholders to generate interest in what our programme offers, then you might be exactly who we are looking for.
  • With demonstrable experience of championing, promoting and marketing the work of a programme or service you will actively seek out opportunities in your region, maintain relationships with stakeholders through accurate and timely record keeping, and identify and secure future opportunities for programme delivery.
  • If you are passionate about preventing harm experienced by children and young people, enjoy working in a collaborative team environment but are comfortable working autonomously, then this role is for you.
