Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Communications and Marketing Specialist for a Public Sector Organisation based in Nottingham.This is a temporary contract for initially 4 months, offering an hourly rate of £19.01 PAYE inclusive of Holiday Pay or£20.99 via Umbrella.
This is a full-time role working mainly from home but with the requirement to be flexible and come onsite for certain events at various locations in Nottingham as and when required.
Duties:
Develop and deliver targeted service specific communications plans, aligned with the organisation's strategic goals and wider communications strategy. This will require working closely with the Executive Team, Head of Communications, as well as servicesand departments
Frequently exercise judgement and make informed decisions involving complex facts, figures and situations. This could include communications around the delivery of organisational or service changes programmes and the impact on teams and individualswithin them
Ensure that there is a strong pipeline of engaging, timely and relevant news for and about staff in written and digital format that can also be promoted externally
To source good news stories - to write, proofread and develop engaging content for all internal and external communications platforms
Lead on the delivery of all internal communications including - weekly newsletters, board communiqués, face-to-face briefings etc. and project-specific communications
Writing and editing all content for a range of audiences including twitter feed, CEO blog, web, intranet reports, online recruitment advertising to ensure timely, integrated communications across all channels
Provide ad-hoc reputation management advice and media advice to senior managers as needed
Development of staff engagement methods (surveys, focus groups, pols etc) to engage staff and encourage involvement and feedback
Development and delivery of the social media strategy, and campaigns, including co-ordination of digital content creation
To lead management of the organisation's digital channels (website, intranet, social media), ensuring content is engaging and queries are responded to in a timely fashion and risks escalated
Lead on the production of a Media Forward Plan - identifying key media-worthy news stories
To take the lead on the organisation of all corporate events including, but not limited to, the annual staff awards, long service awards, staff roadshows, staff briefings and virtual events - sourcing interviews and quotes for bulletins, publications,digital communications platforms and other channels
