Main Duties

  • Service Controller based within the Customer Service Department to work closely with our customers, service operators, providers, and customer groups to help expand a fastgrowing company.
  • The primary role is to support the daytoday activity within the Service Department based within our Bellshill Depot.
  • Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager to assist the team with the scheduling of due vehicle events.
  • The role would be required to monitor procedures in place and action effectively.
  • Required to demonstrate sound decision making by judging issues objectively, making timely decisions whilst considering the impact of these decisions on Customers, Service Agents and the business.
  • The ability to take a balanced view of situations, between customers and operations is vitally important.

Hours: 6:00am till 14:30pm & 9.30am to 6pm Monday till Friday on rotational basis. (30 Minute Unpaid lunch break)


Experience

  • Provide support to the team to ensure that timeliness and quality is the underlying principle of all process under their control, and to ensure that the team works within their job descriptions and adheres to relevant policies, processes and controls.
  • Effective management to ensure targets and objectives are met.
  • Provide feedback, support, and guidance where necessary, identify and implement continuous improvements, promoting effective change management within the team.
  • Be proficient in answering/making calls in relation to routine maintenance requests for the fleet.
  • Furnish affiliated service providers with authorization to fulfil customer requests.
  • Obtaining & Booking out job sheets & job cards to raise order numbers.
  • Inputting data on to our Web based system (no experience needed; full training will be given) with attention to detail on product variations.
  • Uploading compliance documents from relevant service providers.
  • Validate job sheets and enter them onto the system.
  • Deal with any queries or issues that may prevent jobs from being booked out.

Skills

  • Tyre & HGV Transport Industry knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office.
  • Strong people skills able to build professional relationships with customers.
  • A sense of urgency able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Multitasking and organisational skills.
  • Proactive in chasing relevant information to ensure jobs are booked out on time.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and also work off own initiative.
