Description
Venn Group is currently recruiting for a Deputy Director of HR for a Public Sector organisation based in Wolverhampton.

This job role will be 2-3 days a week on site, the other days remote.

This role is an initial 6 month contract, working 37.5 hours a week paying £550/day Umbrella.


Duties:


  • Lead a department of 40 across Business Partnering, OD, Operations & Systems and ER teams
  • Support the organisational transformation programme to reduce overall headcount by 10% and achieve savings against £20 million deficit
  • Design and implement revised departmental structure across the HR function
  • Oversight of high volume employee relations caseload including implementing policy and procedure review
  • HR related project management of significant initiatives including bringing the Student Ambassador scheme inhouse, introduction of a neutral vendor managed service for outsourcing and the tender process for the procurement for an online appraisal system
  • Review of the wellbeing strategy including the procurement of new EAP and Benefits providers
  • Evaluation of leadership and management skills development for academic and professional services staff
