Total Sports Coaching Swale are looking for new coaching staff to work in our schools and community programme, mainly based around the Faversham, Sittingbourne and Sheppey Area.


This position primarily requires a sports coach to effectively organise, run and assist in delivering child development sessions within primary school settings.

The coach will be required to assist in delivering and organise and lead activities including; national curriculum PE lessons, lunchtime activities, after school activities and multi-skill-based sessions.

The position also requires organising and leading activities in our community programme with our toddler's, soccer schools, grassroots club partnerships and community outreach programmes.

The coach will also be required to work in our specialist football, community and nursery programmes.

Positions Available: 1x Part Time Fixed Contract, 1 Apprenticeship


Pay Rates:
£ £15.00 an hour depending on experience, coaching qualifications


Areas of Work:
Mainly based in Faversham, Sittingbourne & Sheppey but may include surrounding areas


APPLICANT CRITERIA:


  • A passion or working in sport and coaching all age groups
  • A Level 2 National Governing Body Sport Coaching Qualification or Degree (for example an FA Football Coaching Level 2, Basketball England Level 2)
  • Clean DBS Check
  • Driving licence and own transport
  • Professional attitude
  • Be available to work between 8:30am and 6pm on week days.
  • Weekend availability.

Key Areas

  • To organise and deliver lunchtime and after school activities for school children in a variety of different sports and activities.
  • To organise and deliver school holiday programme activities for school children in a variety of different sports and activities.
  • To prepare and plan sessions for all activities undertaken
  • To prepare and implement wellstructured and progressive coaching programmes to ensure high quality, enjoyable coaching experience centred around the needs of the participants.
  • To assist and support other TSC coaches in delivering high quality coaching and activities
  • To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young people to participate in sport or physical activity.
  • To carry out administrative duties as necessary eg maintain accurate attendance registers, collect monies, carry out risk assessments, etc.
  • To develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all partners and community organisations.
  • To agree to abide by all of TSCs codes of conduct and rules and dress code
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time to ensure the successful running of TSC
  • To be prepared to regularly carry out work during evening and weekend period

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 20-30 per week


Salary:
£11,500.00-£14,500.00 per year
