Description

Commercial Gas supervisor.
The role is for a mobile commercial Gas Supervisor.

You will be a member of a successful, proactive engineering team, providing national coverage to support the completion of projects to our blue chip customers.

Although based at Teesside, the role will involve working throughout various key sites in the UK, with overnight stays covered by the company.

The Commercial gas supervisor will be tasked with the over seeing and assisting the service and installation of commercial gas heaters, boilers, pipework, Plantrooms, and pumps, in commercial sites ranging from warehouses to offices.

The role will involve assisting engineers, customers and management.


Basic skills required:

must have

  • Good Working knowledge of commercial heating systems
  • Excellent gas knowledge
  • Good knowledge and recent experience of mechanical installations
  • Good communication skills
  • Good attitude and work ethic.
  • Can work well alone or in a team
  • Basic knowledge of using a smart phone
  • Full clean UK driving license

Would be beneficial to have:

  • Cscs card
  • Ipaf
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar position

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the gas department and ensure smooth operations
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of commercial gas appliances
  • Coordinate with the team and suppliers
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of gas usage, repairs, and maintenance activities

Skills:


  • Proficient in heavy lifting and able to handle physical demands of the job
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in gas installations
  • Valid commercial driving license for transportation of gasrelated materials
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Basic plumbing skills for installation and repair tasks
