Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • Lead, manage and develop the channel marketing team of three, plus one contractor. The team comprises two marketing managers (one a contractor), a customer journey manager and a marketing executive
  • Liaise closely with the head of marketing, business development, core marketing team heads and external agencies to develop the channel marketing strategies, plans and budget.
  • Implement the channel marketing strategy, with the core marketing teams and external agencies, to deliver effective channel specific marketing activity, which is high quality, compliant and targeted.
  • Putting our clients first, ensure that all marketing activity is compliant and treats our customers fairly
  • Evaluate marketing activity and share insight and recommendations for continual improvement. Establish a reporting framework against agreed KPIs.
  • Manage the channel marketing budgets ensuring value for money
  • Ensure alignment with the overall brand and corporate marketing strategy and messaging.
  • Represent the team at a senior level on marketing related projects
  • Working with the Head of marketing on brand strategy and development

Skills required for the role:


  • Extensive experience in an institutional and intermediary/retail marketing role in the asset management industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of the institutional and wholesale channels (UK and European)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading marketing strategy and managing resources to deliver integrated marketing activity
  • Strong investment product knowledge across asset classes.
  • Industry level qualification such as IMC qualification or marketing diplomas a plus
  • Thorough understanding of compliance requirements and marketing to multiple jurisdictions for both intermediaries and end clients.
  • Independent and strategic thinking as well as good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Good knowledge of sales force
