Relief Events Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)

Fixed Term Contract until 30th November 2024


Hours:
Zero Hours Contract


Salary:
£12.00 per hour


As we continue to develop our events programme, we are looking for people to join the team to support in the delivery of a successful events program.

The Relief Events Assistant role will help support the Visitor Experience Team to ensure an exceptional visitor experience.

Essential Criteria:

GCSE (or equivalent in Maths and English/)

Experience of working with different audiences.

Good communication skills (written and spoken/)

Highly articulate and enthusiastic.

Demonstrates empathy with our vision and mission of Durham Cathedral.

A professional and responsible attitude to work.

Able to work evenings and Saturdays.


Desirable Criteria:

Experience of a customer facing role.

Experience of Box office/Ticket selling software.

Experience of using IT (outlook, excel,)

Knowledge of principles of excellent customer service.

Ability to deal with complaints and conflict to reach a positive resolution.
