Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a family run business on the outskirts of Horley who are in search of a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

As a direct result of the successful growth of the company, a new role has arisen in the Finance Dept for an entry level Accounts Assistant.

This opportunity would either suit someone seeking a career in finance looking for their first entry level role, or someone already studying looking to widen their experience by gaining exposure to a high-volume, multi-currency business environment.

Monday
Friday 8:30am 5:00pm
Study support for an accounting qualification
Free onsite parking
Must be a driver due to location

You will also be involved in some ad-hoc projects including general ledger reconciliations and participation in month end closure routines.

The finance dept provides information to meet business needs, as such a positive collaborative approach is key for all staff.

The role will come with direct on-the-job training and support with the potential to expand the role into other areas of the finance function over time to continue your training and development needs as appropriate.

Key responsibilities:

Data entry
Bank, credit card and petty cash entry and reconciliations
Sales ledger reconciliations and aged debt management
Purchase ledger entry, reconciliation and managing the deposit account process

Experience of systems not essential but the following basic traits are considered highly desirable:

Numerate, detail oriented, diligent, reliable, organised individual capable of working independently and resolving problems willing to commit themselves to the role.

Helpful but not essential experience of:

Sage
Excel
Bookkeeping
VAT
