A secondary school in Hackney is looking for an experienced SEMH TA to join their team on a full time basis to start ASAP.

This is a long term, full time role working term time only Monday to Friday with the potential to become a temp-perm role.

About the role:

The school is looking to appoint an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of the SENDCo, to support the learning and development of pupils with SEMH and additional needs including ASD and ADHD.

The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with key students across KS3 up to KS5.

You will be supporting within the mainstream class and in small group/ 1:1 sessions, providing academic and pastoral mentoring support to help students focus in class and engage in positive behaviour techniques.

The school is looking for a specialist SEMH TA who has a strong background of working with children SEMH, ADHD, autism and ODD, and with experience and training in trauma and attachment.

Salary:
