We have an exciting permanent opportunity available for a Warehouse Operator to join our Despatch team in the Warehouse department, based at Hay on Wye.
Main purpose of role
Reporting directly to the Despatch Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the despatch process for all out going Material/Waste from the Hay site.
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- Responsible for the despatching of all types of despatch operations that fit with the needs of the business.
The types of despatches will primarily be:
- Commercial Despatches
- Clinical Despatches
- Miscellaneous Despatches
- Serialised Despatches
- Destruction Consignments
- Waste Management Uplifts
- Ensure all visual matrix boards and trackers are managed and kept up to date at all times.
- You will report and highlight any issues that have the potential to impact on On Time In Full (OTIF). This will be done both verbally and/or through the use of shift handover.
- Work safely and to a high level of quality at all times in line with the company and departmental standards.
- In line with business needs you will be required to support other areas of the Warehouse, as required
- Experience in manufacturing and/or Warehouse Freight Haulage operations
- Educated to GCSE level in Maths & English (or equivalent)
- Dependable, reliable and selfmotivated
- A good level of computer skills is required; specifically in Microsoft office to be demonstrated by experience
- Demonstrate a high standard of care for health and safety and quality
- Able to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to listen and follow instruction
- A willingness and commitment to learning & development
- Ability to work well and contribute effectively in a team
- A full, current UK drivers licence
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operations and Freight Forwarding process's.
- Qualified in the use of: Bendi FLT, Counter Balance Truck, Ride on Pallet Truck, Pedestrian Stacker Truck, Scissor Lift
- Experience with JDE software platform
- Experience within a Pharmaceutical operations
Week one: 10.00 am pm Monday to Friday
Week two: 06.00 am pm Monday to Friday
