Procurement/Sourcing Lead

Salary - £75,000 - £85, % Bonus + Package

Hybrid - London, UK - Leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Business


I am pleased to be partnering with one of the major players in the pharmaceutical space, who are looking to hire an experienced and driven procurement professional, to be a part of their best-in-class sourcing team based in London.


You will be responsible for leading and implementing sourcing strategies (in Direct categories) and managing supplier relationships, aligned with key business objectives.

I am looking for someone who has Directs procurement/sourcing experience in the pharmaceutical space.

The role is based out of London, with a very flexible hybrid working model.

This role directly reports into the Procurement Director and has great promotional aspects - a well-defined career progression path is not a false promise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement key sourcing strategies in Directs categories, aligned with company objectives getting the best price and value for the business
  • Building and managing strong relationships with key suppliers, based globally (UK, Europe, US etc.) you will be the primary SRM owner for all suppliers
  • Managing and overseeing all contracts, negotiations, and bids processes for the business
  • Complete ownership on devising and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Bringing your pharma industry experience on board and driving process improvement initiatives for your team
  • Direct reports you will be managing some other team members and act as a mentor to them

Key Skills:

  • Some experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, managing Directs categories in a strategic 360 procurement/sourcing function
  • Experience in managing contracts and driving negotiations with key suppliers globally
  • Experience in Rx /OTC/generic consumer healthcare products is preferred
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills ability to manage and influence key stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
