Job Title:
Year 5/6 Booster Teacher

We are looking for a qualified teacher to join our team as a Year 5/6 Booster Teacher. You will be responsible for supporting small groups of children with their English and Maths skills.

The role will involve working with no more than 5 or 6 children ata time, and may involve some one-to-one support with children who are significantly behind in their studies.


As a Year 5/6 Booster Teacher, you will work Monday to Wednesday and will be based in our large primary school in Chesterfield.

You will work closely with the class teachers and other support staff to help our pupils achieve their full potential.


Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective booster sessions for Year 5/6 pupils in English and Maths
  • Work with small groups of pupils to support their learning and progress
  • Provide onetoone support for pupils who require additional help
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to class teachers and parents
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent approach to teaching and learning

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching upper Key Stage
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum for English and Maths
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
