As a On Call Night Team Leader for our of homes, you'll create a setting where each employee and young person can thrive and reach their full potential.

You'll make sure our young people feel happy, safe, and motivated and will also keep our home's standards high.

Managing night operations, you'll take ownership of the out-of-hours line, incident report/ general reports statutory requirements, as well as playing an active part with the management team.


The level of experience must be of the highest quality, that's what drives us here at Qualified Care Residential Services.

Personal Specification:
Responsibilities

  • Provide practical support whilst on shift for all young people and staff
  • Build and develop relationships with our young people and encourage them to participate fully in the opportunities offered within the homes and external environments.
  • Contributing to the support and independent living skills needs of young people in cooperation with other team members. To follow and be aware of the Individual needs of the young person, their support plans and individual risk assessments.
  • To record in the young person's logs throughout your shift an actual factual account of the shift and the activities of the young people.
  • Conduct key work sessions with young people and produce reports for each session.
  • To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of each young person and that safeguarding procedures are always followed and understand how to raise concerns.
  • Support our young people with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning, appointments, meetings etc
  • Understand, and to follow the required policies, processes, and procedures; and ensure that they are being adhered to.
  • To undertake a wide range of administrative tasks whilst on duty, including filing and typing daily recordings and monthly/ weekly reports.
  • To ensure the security of the building and the safety and wellbeing of the young people.
  • To promote and ensure that all young people are abiding by the rules of the home.
  • To ensure that the environment of the home is maintained by undertaking and completing a range of cleaning duties as instructed in terms of promoting good hygiene practice, health and safety and cleanliness.
  • To report to the Service Manager any incidents or concerns about the young people/or the home
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as and when required
  • Ensure standards of the home are maintained through adhering to house rules,policies, and procedures.

Personal Specification:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing the out of hours line
  • Writing report of any incidents/accidents
  • Writing a summary to the Service Manager of your weekend for review on Mondays
  • Adapt to our daily report system
  • Audit staff incident reports and accident reports
  • Build strong working relationships with external agencies such as Local Authorities and other Health / Social Professionals.
  • To ensure that all other records are kept up to date including incident or accident reports and logbook.
  • Support all homes with the out of hours line.
Job Requirements

  • Be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills
  • Have a genuine interest in working with our young people
  • Will have a willingness to learn
  • Be able to work shifts that will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays in a flexible way to meet the needs of the young people.
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate or on the update service
  • Must be available on the weekend.
  • Has the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Be able to communicate and interact well with others
  • Handling Outbound & Inbound calls

Job Type:
Zero hours contract


Salary:
From £10.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

- providing care: 1 year (required)

- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
