Student Services - Security - CCTV operators

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dynamic and enthusiastic security team here on our thriving and energetic campus.

The postholder will be responsible for monitoring our comprehensive CCTV system across campus, focussing on identifying and reporting matters relating to the safety and welfare of students, staff and visitors; the security of university buildings and other property on and off campus; the protection of personal property of students, staff and visitors; the control of traffic and parking; and control room and reception duties as required.

Job Purpose

To monitor CCTV cameras from within the university security control room, starting at 4pm and ceasing at 2am, and working an attractive pattern of four days on, then four days off.

To identify issues of safety and report such to the control room operator to enable the deployment of resources.

The safety of the staff and students is our priority, in addition to ensuring the safety and welfare of all people connected with or visiting the University, the protection of university property and the regulation of vehicle movement on and around the University site.
