A permanent opportunity has arisen for a
GLP Track/Biobank Technician to provide support to sample storage and archive within a laboratory Biobank.

This role is a night's position working 8 pm to 8 am. Working four Nights on and four nights off.

4 on 4 off shift pattern giving a total of 42 hours per week (from 20:30 to 8:
hours lunch)
Other aspects of this role include, but are not limited to:

Ensure appropriate tracking, archive and storage of relevant samples.
Support operation and maintenance of GLP track.
Bring any unusual test requests or results to the attention of the appropriate member of staff.
Assist in handling and distribution of incoming and outgoing goods, equipment, specimens and reagents.
To operate, maintain and load any automated equipment as required
To keep records as required by the laboratory manager or nominated deputy
To clean and maintain equipment to achieve the optimum instrument performance and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Logging system to record fridge temperatures in the absence of a remote temperature
To ensure soiled laboratory coats are laundered, collected and sorted appropriately.
To facilitate the safe disposal of laboratory waste.
To assist in other sections when required.

This is a hands-on role at a very well-known and established Laboratory.
