We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as a PA to the Acute Oncology Service Consultants and extended team.

This exciting role encompasses a wide range of PA and general secretarial duties including typing general correspondence, diary management, minute-taking and assisting the AOS Consultants and Matron in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the service.

Working in a friendly, but busy and demanding multi-disciplinary setting, you will need to be highly organised and able to work collaboratively with people at different levels.

A minimum of two years general secretarial or PA experience is required for the post.

To provide secretarial services to the Consultants, Matron and Lead Nurse working in the Acute Oncology Service (AOS)..

To also assist the Office Manager/PA to the Divisional Director in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the Clinical Services management office and to provide cover during absences.

To be responsible for administrative support to the AOS and wider Division as required and to provide a contact point for staff within the organisation and outside bodies as appropriate.

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of agenda and minutes of meetings. Organise meeting documentation and attend meetings with or at the request of the team to take minutes and to type the minutes of these meetings.
  • Arrange and book venues for meetings and interviews, arrange Teams links and prepare rooms appropriately, organise refreshments liaising with integrated services with regard to invoicing and timely delivery where necessary.
  • Organise local induction programmes for new staff within the Division as requested.
  • Maintain uptodate complex diaries for the AOS Consultants, Matron and Lead Nurse where required, including organising meetings.
