Based in Cranleigh, working on various sites throughout Surrey and occasionally beyond

At Bushy Business we have been designing, building and maintaining beautiful gardens for over 27 years.

We are RHS and APL award winners, love what we do and are looking to expand on our team of caring, passionate gardeners by looking for a soft landscaper to join us.

Salary:
£25,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience.

As a soft landscaper you will be an invaluable member of the team working alongside our maintenance and aftercare professionals on domestic project work as well as on our landscaping sites beside our skilled hard landscapers.

Your role will involve a wide scope of work from helping to clear sites, knowing what to keep and prune, installing timber structures and woodworking to earth movement and soil preparation for lawns and borders.

Planting perennials, grasses and shrubs up to semi-mature trees, staking and anchoring, wiring and training climbers, pruning and shaping, as well as irrigation installations and their maintenance.

Requirements:

You must be a highly motivated individual with an excellent, cando attitude to your work.
Excellent time keeping and organisational skills.
UK Driving License
Level 2 or higher in Landscaping or Horticulture.
4+ years' experience in similar role.
Plant knowledge.
You must be able to carry out soft landscaping and gardenbased tasks to the highest standard day in day out, all year round.
Ability to work to a detailed plan, helping to site out site from it and understand levels.
Be able to keep to work schedules provided by the Landscape Manager.
Good communication skills across team members, external trades, clients and designers
Able to maintain a safe and clean working environment as per company policies and safety procedures on site.
Maintain in good and safe working order all tools, vehicles, plant, equipment and machinery on site.

Desirable

Knowledge of pests and diseases.
Ability to focus on completing projects when challenges arise.
Experience in landscaping and its associated tasks.
Knowledge of tools and machinery used in construction of gardens.
Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
Competency in using plant machinery ideally holding relevant machinery tickets, certifications and the like.
Knowledge of installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
