We're working with an established industry leader in their search for an Management Accountant, either a newly qualified accountant or someone currently studying towards their CIMA/ACCA.
The Management Accountant role would suit someone dynamic and keen to have a hands on influence within a business, it could be an established and switched on Management Accountant or someone eager to take the step up in their career.
As Management Accountant you'll supply the management team and board with monthly management accounts and associated financial reports.As well as developing internal controls, business intelligence reports, and systems to improve the level of financial reportingin the Business.
The job;- Reporting directly to the Finance Director.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Accounting for, and reconciliation of, turnover including intercompany sales
- Reconciliation and valuation of stock
- Master data management
- Complete general ledger entries for cost of sales, accruals, and prepayments
- Management and update of the Fixed Asset Register & accounting for Leasing
- Review, investigation, and correction of general ledger accounts to ensure correct classification of expenditure
- Production of financial reports and variance analysis
- Complete account reconciliations to the agreed frequency, typically monthly
- Analysis of historical financial information to assist the business
- Supply of information to enable the conversion of management accounts to statutory format
- Supply of data to external auditors and respond to questions
- Assist the Finance Business Partner in the development and update of standard costs
- Complete the weekly cash flow submission
- Completion of weekly fees and stock reporting
- Update internal dashboards to reflect latest forecast KPIs
