We are recruiting for a HR Operations Team Leader to lead our global team of highly skilled HR Operations Advisors to provide excellent one-stop HR services for all our employee's needs.


As a pivotal role, the HR Operations Team Leader ensures that the team continuously provides a trusted, purpose-led and engaging service to all the HR needs of our employees at BSI.

We strive to deliver these services consistently and with a proactive, positive, and people-centric approach, and the Team Leader plays a vital role to lead and support the team's continual success by motivating, inspiring and developing the Team in achieving the SLAs and KPIs.


With our 'Right first time, every time' service ethos, this role will appeal to an experienced HR Operations professional who strives for continuous process improvement, consistency and efficiency, contributing to HR policies and best practices, as well as the ability to embrace new challenges from various geographical locations the team is responsible for.

This role will be hybrid working 2-3 times per week in our Milton Keynes office.

As a fixed-term / maternity cover position, the appointment has a tentative contract completion date in end of September 2025.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Managing a team of HR Operations Specialists in terms of their performance, workload and development.
  • Be the team's point of escalation on process queries liaising.
  • Facilitating the team to maintain update documentations aligned with local legislations.
  • Be the point of contact to provide 'white glove' service on HR tasks to Senior Leaders.
  • Lead on the delivery to support continual improvement of the HR work processes.

To thrive in these roles, you have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent), or extensive experience working in a HR Operations / HRSSC capacity. Having team management experience within HR Ops / HRSSC settings will be a significant advantage.
  • Strong awareness of legal requirements and updates on employment related legislations, locally and internationally.
  • Track record of successful delivery in People Operations area in a complex and dynamic organisation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to explore creative solutions and recommendations to technical issues for continuous improvement.
  • Worked in diverse, multinational settings, be culturally sensitive and strive for highest standards on handling ethical matters (e.g. ED&I) and relevant data privacy legal framework (e.g. GDPR).
