Established asbestos removal company is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to work in our Offices in Watford.

This is a full time position. The position will pay between £30k and £35k per annum. Salary negotiable depending on experience and any transferable skill sets.

Hours of work are 9 am until 5.30 pm.

Fast paced environment with strict timescales and deadlines to work to.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Payroll
  • General bookkeeping using Sage accounting package
  • Posting customer and supplier/subcontractor invoices to ledger
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of invoice discounting
  • Working together with the Directors for profit and loss reports and expense analysis
  • Monthly management of accounts
  • Distributing and chasing outstanding payments
  • Court claims
  • VAT returns
  • End of year accounts
  • Company pension returns
  • Assessing dates of compliance and scheduling accordingly
  • Checking over paperwork from on site staff
  • Procurement and stock ordering
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding costs, contracts etc
  • Subcontractor forms
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulations and assistance with compliance teams
  • Document control
  • Elements of HR.

Essential Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 year experience within bookkeeping/accounts role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail to all aspects of work
  • Ability to work independently on initiative with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
  • Confident using Microsoft excel, word, sage accounts, moneysoft payroll
  • Must be over the age of 21 due to insurance reasons for driving company vehicles


Please note, this is not a home working or hybrid role but would require you to be working from our offices in Watford each working day.


Salary:
£28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
