WEEKLY WORKING HOURS 31.5 hours average working (equivalent to 42 hours pay with shift enhancements) over a 5 week rota working various shifts including earlies, lates & nights.

Grade 5 Starting at £31,364 - £34,664 pro rata for hours worked

ABOUT THE ROLE


As a Specialist Support Officer (Shift) you will work as part of a team responding to emergency calls from older and vulnerable people living in the community on our Careline alarm service and in our independent living/extra care Housing Schemes.


You will visit Careline and Community Support users and independent living/extra care housing residents to enable them to maintain their independence for as long as possible and will be responsible for assessing and installing Careline alarm equipment (training will be given).

This service operates 24/7 and you will therefore need to be flexible. You will be required to work shifts, including earlies, lates, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

You must have use of a vehicle which must have business insurance cover in order for you to be able to carry out your duties.

A mileage allowance will be payable.

- good knowledge and understanding of services for older and/or disabled people and their needs, demonstrating a high level of sensitivity.
- a dynamic, pro-active and creative approach
- excellent problem solving skills
- good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- experience in managing complex cases and problem solving
- be able to work on their own initiative and have excellent attention to detail.
- excellent record keeping and computer skills (competent in using Microsoft Office IT packages including Excel)
