We have a fantastic opportunity for permanent Structures Engineers/Bridges Engineers to join our Amey Consulting team for our Scotland account in Manchester/Newcastle/Sheffield with shared office space,attending office when necessary and remaining days working remotely.

Recent / ongoing projects include:$1.2bn Scotland North East and South West Trunk Road Network Management Contracts

$30m ADEPT Live Labs 2 Decarbonisation programme

The role As a Bridges Engineer you will play an important part in every stage of a project from inception to completion by implementing the project requirements to fully meet client specification with relevant standards,
undertaking any work of a technical nature that falls within ability and competence preparing and checking design approach calculations drawing documents carrying out site visits surveys inspections supervise sub-contractors preparing and checking feasibility studies inspection assessment technical reports ensuring compliance with Amey procedures being confident to work under minimum supervision check the work of others assisting contract preparation together with project planning programming complying health safety environmental legislation particularly CDM regulations pTo work in team producing technically sound engineering solutions preparing checking designs calculations drawings documentation scheme deliverables satisfy quality cost programme overseeing actions more junior members staff undertaking similar tasks take responsibility their actions liaising client supplier representatives peer level attending progress meetings responding queries managing small locally based single discipline technical team taking responsibility delivery workload contributing preparation bids general winning function drive effective health safety practices within team
