This vacancy necessitates a person of smart appearance with good communication skills as they will be liaising with bereaved families, hospitals, nursing homes, crematoria, church ministers and Coroner's Officers.

General duties include pall bearing and chauffeur duties, including driving the hearse and limousines and collection of the deceased from place of death to our premises, and preparation of the deceased for the chapel of rest.

Other main duties include valeting and cleaning of company vehicles on a daily basis to a high standard. Occasionally they might be some out of hours work.

Our service must, at all times, be first class and the care and consideration of our customers' needs and requirements is of the utmost importance.

We therefore require a person with a positive attitude, with plenty of initiative to learn the procedures and quickly become a valuable member of our working team.

The applicant must be clean, presentable, hold a clean UK manual driving licence and live within the Manchester area.

A uniform is provided.

General duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering consistently high levels of service to the deceased and their families.
• Participating in on call arrangements and bringing the deceased into our care.
• Preparing and valeting / detailing of the vehicles to very high standard
• Support with bringing the deceased into our care
• Being part of the funeral service by bearing the coffin and driving the company vehicles.
• Take pride in your appearance being smartly dressed and professional at all times.
• Have a caring and empathetic nature.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good level of physical fitness.
