Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a new Payroll Administrator to join our People team at Cambridge Education Group
As a Payroll Administrator you will have a pivotal role in our organisation's payroll operations.


Collaborating closely with the Group Payroll Manager and cross-functional teams, you will facilitate accurate, compliant and timely salary payments across our global workforce.

Your expertise in utilising payroll systems, keen eye for detail and excellent service levels will be integral in contributing to an efficient payroll function within the team.


In this dynamic role, you'll manage a range of responsibilities, from overseeing onboarding processes for new hires and accurately processing payroll data, to addressing payroll queries and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Your proficiency with iTrent and experience in global payroll, coupled with your adeptness at Excel functions like VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, will empower you to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:


  • Assist the Group Payroll Manager with the accurate payment of salaries for all employees across the group.
  • Working with the Group Payroll Manager to ensure CEG employees are paid accurately and on time using our payroll systems including iTrent (UK & Ireland), Nmbrs (Netherlands) & iMGR (Hong Kong).
  • Ensure all payroll processes and data are sent to our global payroll bureaus for processing within agreed time table to ensure payment (France, USA, China & Dubai).
  • Conduct the onboarding of new employees to their relevant payrolls ensuring all data is provided and initial payslips are accurate
  • Monitor changes within the HRIS system to ensure changes are reflected accurately in the payrolls
  • Ensure employees final payslips are reviewed to ensure correct payment and calculation of appropriate leaver pays including holiday pay.

Key person specification:


  • Working as part of a small payroll team with multisite payrolls
- iTrent experience is essential

  • Global payroll experience is desirable
  • Working to very tight deadlines
  • Analytical and eye for detail
  • Excellent excel skills (demonstrate experience at VLOOKUPs, CSV conversion and Pivot Tables)
