People now discover podcasts in all sorts of ways at all sorts of times.

This role reflects that, as we are looking for someone who not only understands great audio but also gets the crucial role social media plays in the content journey.- Hands up if this is you - You have an entrepreneurial spirit, positive mind, curious attitude and want to push boundaries in podcasting.


  • You have experience producing a variety of different podcast styles including comedy, factual, and talentled.
  • Alongside being an experienced podcast producer you consider digital/social as equal importance for driving podcast growth, fame and audience.
  • You are always thinking about strategies to reach audiences across multiple platforms and are up to date on viral trends.
  • You will be highly proficient with audio editing software and also have an understanding of how to create social media posts / clips for podcasts as digital brands.
  • You will be confident managing talent/ agents/ negotiating contracts.
  • You will be curious about new trends in podcasting and video thinking about what makes people want to listen and the latest trends in podcasts.
  • You will be a selfstarter and always coming up with new ideas and ways to execute them. You will also be a team player (we are a lowego team who want the best for each other and the business)
  • You will be super organised able to create scripts/ timelines/planning/ production.
  • You will be able to liaise with a range of different stakeholders marketing, PR, commercial, legal and agents.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Producing and editing new podcast launches for Bauer.
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions, regularly originate new ideas, develop concepts and write treatments and one pagers.
  • Identifying talent (new/emerging and big names) we should be approaching to work with and developing unique ideas that will bring them into Bauer.
  • Helping ensure Bauer's podcast production unit is reactive, creative, pushes boundaries in sound design and creativity and delivers stand out, scalable and awardwinning podcasts.
  • Ongoing podcast marketplace research and keeping on top of trends
  • Help manage freelancers.
  • Script writing and editing.
  • Recording in studio and direct presenters and contributors when recording remotely.
  • Audio editing and mixing.
  • Work with video and engineering team to ensure we are filming the podcast in the most appropriate way to drive audience, awareness and revenue.
  • Filming and edit social clips for podcasts and scheduling, upload where necessary.
  • Creating social teasers for both host and guests to share on stories (as well as ensuring these are supplied).
  • Send soundbites to marketing/PR where appropriate.
  • Managinfg the process of guest booking such as doing tech tests before where required, etc.
  • Manage all production elements of sponsorships to ensure delivery ontime and to a high quality; including scripting to ensure brand goals are met whilst maintaining podcast integrity, recording, editing, and ROI reporting after.
  • Monitoring podcast communication, such as inboxes and reviews.
Contribute to podcast PR, such as searching for episode angles to promote, sourcing quotes for press releases etc.

  • Regular communication of podcast KPIs to report to hosts and inform future decisionmaking.
  • Help manage payments and music licensing, where necessary.
  • Deliver projects to time and within budget

Skills and experience

  • Experience in speech audio and podcasting
  • Deep understanding of podcast marketplace
  • Understanding of formats and experience of developing speech audio
  • Strong scriptwriting and scriptediting
  • Strong audio editing and mixing skills
  • Positive, collaborative, curious and driven
  • An understanding of analytics and be confident with numbers
  • Ability to shoot and edit clips of podcast for social media to drive awareness and reach.
  • Technically confident with the various social platforms and up to date on trends

This is a hybrid working role between home and our office in London.
