Job Description and Main Responsibilities:
Operator Communications
- Initiating the Bank system Start and End of Day Procedures
- Logging of incoming SWIFT messages and distribution to appropriate departments
- Process of outgoing SWIFT and CHAPS messages and distribution to appropriate departments
- Logging of fax messages and distribution to appropriate departments
- Responsibility for the secure and efficient operation of payment processing
- Responsibility for management of electronic correspondence circulation folders
- Responsible for SWIFT disaster recovery test with Head Office
- Assist in the management of Exchange of RMA's
- Ensuring all Multi-Currency Swift Payments are checked and released within the Bank's sanctions regime, by cut off times and all funds are correctly applied
Distribution
- Distribution of daily, periodical reports obtained from Bank accounting system to appropriate departments
- Printing and distribution of customer statements
Administration and Compliance
- Adherence to the requirements of centralised filing system
- Formulation and maintenance of desk instructions to be kept available or ease of reference
- Hand Over file to be maintained, to include all documentation pertinent to position, as referred to in the Bank's Procedures Manual
- Adherence to UK Money Laundering legislation and the timely reporting of suspicious transactions to the MLRO
- Compliance with UK laws and regulations insofar as they relate to job description
Education and Experience
- Minimum 1 year similar experience needed in retail or private bank.
- Academic background: Minimum A Level required
- Swift Experience required with Knowledge of all Swift types is beneficial
- Good understanding of Money Laudering Regulations, financial crimes and GDPR
Skills
- Strong communications and ability to work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel
