A full-time permanent vacancies has arisen within our Sales Department


Working:
Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm (compressed working available)


Primary purpose of position

  • To be an integral part of the Sales Coordination and Estimating Team.
  • To adhere to and develop with the aid of the Sales Office Manager, Business/Product Managers and Team Leaders agreed costing models geared to achieving the profitable sales growth of the business.
  • To be responsible for dealing with all daytoday customer and Glenair external sales team requests for quotation, leadtimes and technical enquiries.
  • To provide project management support to the Area Sales Engineers and Product Managers
  • To be able to successfully negotiate profitable pricing levels with customers in order to secure future business. Assistance and guidance may be required from the Sales Office Manager or Team Leader.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • With assistance from the Sales Office Manager and Team Leader you will be expected to identify and develop the necessary skills and business systems that will allow Glenair to achieve its business aims and objectives.
  • Deal with enquiries effectively
  • Submit costed proposals for: Price list items, bought out items, conceptual designs, build to print and new developments.
  • Develop costing models and business systems and become conversant with: Enquiries, costing methods, data entry and contract reviews.
  • Liaison with other departments

Person specification

  • Have a proven track record of experience within a costing and sales organisation
  • Have office/administration experience
  • Be selfmotivated
  • Ideally have an electrical or engineering background
  • Be a good communicator
  • Computer literate
  • Educated to a good standard, GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
