Our client is looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Assistant for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.


Role


Assistance of activities and services connected with the maintenance of the facilities, all associated equipment and plant and the upkeep of associated certification in a safe and timely manner.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance and loading of a Planned Maintenance System (PMS) for the facilities, including the management and renewal of associated certification. PMS to include LOLER, PAT testing, waste management register, vehicle MOT's and servicing, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher register, maintenance of lifts, heating system, air conditioning system, generators and compressors
  • Manage the Facilities Helpdesk and action / close out issues notified within a timely manner
  • Carry out general facilities maintenance tasks e.g. generator run ups, central heating pump rotations, emergency door function testing, regular utility meter reading, arrange collection of waste disposal, coordinate general housekeeping of the facilities
  • Undertake general DIY maintenance activities
  • Involvement in internal and external audits as necessary
  • Promotion of good housekeeping and HSE throughout the site, including involvement in QHSSE inspections and safety tours when requested
  • Assist in office moves and reorganisations when required including assembling office furniture when necessary
  • Company flats monthly meter readings (gas, electric & water) and replacement of medial box
  • Sub-Contractors (including maintenance, security and cleaning):
  • Obtaining quotations for work and selection of sub-contractors
  • Coordinate and issue purchase orders for subcontracted works
  • Maintain COSHH documents for all chemicals used in all facilities operations
  • Liaison with subcontractors prior to arrival to site
  • Ensure risk assessments, method statements and permit to work documents are issued and correctly maintained
  • Supervision when on site and acceptance of completed works
  • Maintenance records of subcontractors (method statements, risk assessment, performance review, certificates, COSHH)
