Description
We are looking for Warehouse Dispatch Supervisor, In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of people, driving the delivery of Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets by focusing on continuous Improvement, standardisation and by promoting a team-based culture.
JOB DUTIES:
Managing People and Resources:
- Ability to cover for Distribution Manager's absence.
- Act as a role model for team members and other Supervisors.
- Behavior
- Manage the allocation of work on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, controlling head count and overtime budgets.
- Establish the customer as the primary focus of the work of the Area.
- Understanding the impacts of internal and external customers.
- Ensure delivery of team targets by the team.
- Manage team performance through job instruction, regular reviews, and team meetings.
- Assess training needs. Create and deliver skills training plans and to ensure there is adequate daytoday cover on the team and build flexibility for how team members can be utilised.
- Monitor team performance (targets, absence, skills, conduct) implementing appropriate performance management processes to resolve performance issues, including disciplinary activity.
- With HR Advisor/Oracle, create recruitment plans and contribute to recruitment and selection of new staff. Ensure all new staff are inducted and trained to the required standards.
- Manage team budget (where known), to include all aspects of cost, within established guidelines, to result in cost reduction.
- Act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with both internal and external customers.
Managing Communication:
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly performance reports on team targets and on all direct and indirect activities as requested.
- Develop and maintain visual management boards in the Area.
- Implement all communication processes
- Team Meetings, Daily Team Briefings, etc
Managing Processes:
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are created, communicated and maintained for every process in the Area.
- Manage exceptions to standard processes in a timely and efficient way ensuring all team members are communicated and trained appropriately.
Manage the Environment:
- Lead the housekeeping initiatives in the Area.
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are communicated and adhered to in the Area.
- Deliver and evaluate Health and Safety training to all team members

YOU MUST HAVE:
- Experienced in Logistics, warehousing, or distribution
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes
- Ability to lead the team
