About This Role:


We have a new opportunity for a Healthcare Assistants to join us at our Leeds PET-CT centre based at St James Hospital.


At Leeds PET-CT we partner with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, delivering optimum care whilst ensuring a safe working environment.

We emphasise the quality of service provided at our flagship site in Yorkshire where we are currently investing in a new state-of-the-art digital scanner.

This is a full time role working 40 hours a week


Required Skills and Experience:

In this role you will be supporting Radiographers during patients scans. It will also involve assisting patients and chaperoning when necessary.

There may also be an aspect of administration as you meet and greet patients, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in healthcare.


Role responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in patient preparation
  • Chaperoning
  • Cannulation
  • Positioning of MRI patients on the scanner and MRI coil changes
  • Clinical stock management
  • Clinical audits
  • Processing of patients via our E-Systems
  • Admin cover where necessary
  • Optimise patient care throughout the service delivery, particularly in maintaining confidentiality, dignity and privacy
  • Be passionate about providing the best possible customer care to all patients
  • You must be able to work well under pressure both independently and as part of a team


To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate good communication, IT and administration skills, alongside a compassionate and enthusiastic demeanour.

A flexible, organised and enthusiastic attitude is essential. Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided. Competency in IV cannulation would however be advantageous.
