This global leader within the defence industry are enjoying continued success and due to expansion have an opportunity for a project controller to work as a key member of a project team.

Head quartered in Germany, supporting large defence contracts across the globe, this is an exciting new opportunity working within a team orientated and employee focused business that offers further progressive opportunities.


Working within this project controller role will see you:
Responsible for the timely provision of programme and contractual deliverable, performance metrics, progress reports and data/information in support of the key performance indicators associated with their projects
Development and maintenance of the project plans necessary to support each individual project for which they are responsible
Ensuring all project and contractual artefacts are delivered within schedule, budget, performance and quality constraints
Understanding of the project budget, ensuring cost allocation to the appropriate task and work breakdown structure together with articulation of the cause of any variances experienced by the project and associated recovery schemes
Providing support to the project teams in order to resolve any cost, schedule, commercial and performance issues and provide intervention and/or escalation when appropriate

The successful project controller will need experience within:
Holding an ability to create, maintain and report project schedules using Microsoft Project.

An ability to manage and report risk using a risk management tool (such as Active Risk Manager (ARM)), and to conduct a Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).

An understanding of change and change management techniques.
Project Management qualifications would be desirable (APMP, PRINCE etc).
An understanding of the process of Earned Value Management (EVM) would be desirable.


This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a project planer, project manager or scheduler from within an engineering or defence industry, although not essential but beneficial.
