North Wales and BCUHB continue to develop and improve our stroke services.We now have exciting opportunities to be part of an innovative stroke rehabilitation model in each of our three geographical Areas, as we develop multi-professional rehabilitation assistants (MPRAs) within our community rehabilitation teams.
You will develop and demonstrate the skills to work with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and dietitians and technical instructors, supporting and enhancing rehabilitation for stroke survivors in BCUHB EastWe are looking for individuals who are passionate about rehabilitation and empowering people.
You will need to be self-motivated, compassionate, and able to work with a large and varied team, with the desire to continually learn new skills and adapt to a changing rehabilitation environment.
Recent and relevant experience in a therapy healthcare setting is therefore essential.
The posts will involve a wide range of duties including assisting therapy programmes with a holistic approach, facilitating daily rehabilitation, following acute care to the community in line with national standards, delivering individual and group therapy sessions, gathering data to support stroke service audit (including updating the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme electronic database), and supporting the ongoing development of stroke services in the region.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
