Description

Construction Trade Solutions are looking for a hardworking, motivated and experienced Groundworker with NPORS or CPCS with slabbing, kirbing and draining etc.

If hired, you'll be an integral part of the team by helping with groundwork.


Role:
Groundworker


Location:
Leeds

Hours of work: 7:30am - 4:30pm


Pay rate:
£20.00 per hour


Duties and responsibilities of the role


Our client are looking for someone who has experience working as a 360 excavator assisting with deep drainage and groundwork.


The job role involves the following duties:

  • Clearing a construction site
  • Digging trenches for foundations
  • Setting up a site, putting up barriers, safety signs, huts, etc.
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Providing excavation support to other construction professionals
  • Interpreting the use of drawings and specifications
  • Laying pavements, kerbs and driveways
  • Concreting sites
  • Removing drainage and pipework systems
  • Operating plant machinery, such as excavators and dumper trucks
  • Preparing the ground/foundations to allow construction to begin
  • Redirecting waterways and connecting pipes with existing pipework.
  • Screeding
  • General groundworks

Skills and attributes (desirable)


We are looking for someone who has the ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools, operate and control equipment.

Have a great attention to detail, ability to work well with others


About you
You must have a valid CSCS/CPCS card and NPORS - above and below 10 tonne.


Additional tickets/qualifications that would be beneficial include; Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills, Level 2 Award in Skills for Engineering, IPAF, MEWP, PASMA, First Aid, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels or any other industry related courses.
