Permanent, Full TIme, 37 hours per week

Are you experienced in project work and passionate about a career in regeneration?

Rotherham is undertaking a huge programme of regeneration with transformative projects being delivered across the Borough.

As well as major investment in the future of the town centre; the borough's towns, villages, country parks, leisure attractions and employment areas are being revitalised.

The ever-growing portfolio of projects requires a well resourced and dedicated team of project managers and support officers. An exciting opportunity has therefore arisen within the council's Investment and Development Office for a permanent project support officer.


The successful post holder will assist Project Managers in the development and delivery of the regeneration programme and be dedicated to working to improve socio-economic outcomes through supporting the delivery of a varied range of projects across the borough.

The successful post holder will demonstrate a high level of initiative and have experience working on projects.


The role will include:


Providing technical and administrative support to assist in the development and delivery of the regeneration programme, with a particular focus on the Towns and Villages Fund project.

Supporting Project Managers in all aspects of project development.

Coordinating the day-to-day administration of projects, ensuring actions are completed successfully and in a timely manner.

Producing reports, briefings and working with data.

Working within council governance structures including working directly with elected members.

Organising site preparation to allow for contractor mobilisation.

Assisting in negotiations with landowners, advisers, and contractors.

Administering procurement processes and any relevant contracts.


Maintaining project files and records, producing agendas and taking minutes of relevant meetings, and providing any relevant administrative support such as the preparation of briefings.
