Health and Safety Co-ordinator to join our client, a thriving commercial laundry business.

With two bustling laundries in Dumfries and Workington, and a dynamic transport hub in Darlington, you'll be covering three strategic sites across Northern England and Southern Scotland.

About the Role:


As the Health and Safety Co-Ordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in providing advisory, training, and administrative support across all aspects of Health & Safety management.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role encompasses the Production and Transport departments across the three sites.


What We're Looking For:

Qualifications: IOSH Managing Safely certification (NEBOSH would be advantageous)

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a health & safety role


Responsibilities:


  • Provide expert advice and support to ensure a safe working environment
  • Manage and schedule required training for all staff
  • Regularly review and update risk assessments and SSOW
  • Attend and contribute to Health & Safety meetings
  • Maintain records of near misses, accidents, and safety concerns
  • Correct unsafe acts or conditions through proper channels
  • Analyze safety data to identify trends and propose improvements
  • Conduct regular Health & Safety audits across all sites
  • Stay updated on health & safety legislation and advise senior management
