As part of Preqin's Marketing team, we create data-driven content that brings to life a key sector within financial services: alternative assets.

Spanning venture capital, private equity, private debt, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources, we expect the assets managed by the global alternative assets industry to grow by 9.3% a year on average, reaching more than $23tn by 2027.


This year we're developing loads more digital content: snappy videos and podcasts on issues that matter, reaching over 105,000 followers on LinkedIn and 15.5k on Twitter, and enabling us to grow our presence on YouTube and Instagram.

We've also recently launched a daily newsletter for our audience, which is establishing itself as one of the must reads across the industry.

We work closely with experts in alternative assets to produce thought leadership - compelling interviews and commentary - and we also publish in-house analysis in the form of reports, articles, and factsheets.


Responsibilities:


In this role you will:

Our Social Media & Content Specialist has two main aspects.


First, the core focus will be on crafting content that entices people to join and engage with the vibrant community we're building across our digital channels.


And second, you'll work closely with our writers, internal Sales teams, and with external clients to support our thought leadership business, including insightful interviews and commentary from global experts in alternative assets.


Here's how you'll accomplish these two main objectives:

  • Help shape, enhance, and execute our social media strategy
  • Create and manage social media project plans with specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timedriven (SMART) goals
  • Organize and manage our social media calendar, and schedule a daily flow of posts for our global followers
  • Work closely with our writers, editors, and designers to produce engaging social copy that's concise and accurate, accompanied by eyecatching charts and images
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce regular reports recommending how we can optimize our content
  • Build collaborative relationships with our internal Sales teams, responding to queries and helping to educate Sales managers about our thought leadership activities
  • Monitor deliverables for our network of thought leadership clients, helping to ensure we are on track

Qualifications:

You are a good fit if:

  • 1-3 years' experience writing and posting social media for a corporate profile (ideally in the business-to-business space)
  • Strong copywriter with an eye for turning complex information into compelling, actionable social posts
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Experience managing and reporting on social media campaigns
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders (e.g. internal Sales teams, external clients)
  • Flexibility to adjust and prioritize work according to company needs
  • Selfmotivation, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Talent for analysing data to identify trends and issues

Additional skills/capabilities that would be a plus:

  • Knowledge of alternative investments/financial markets
  • Experience working in a financial or dataheavy business
  • Experience working on multiplatform digital marketing campaigns
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as Pardot, Hootsuite, etc., as well as Adobe Creative Suite
