Transport Planner

Role Responsibilities

Management the General Haulage and Container Fleet.
Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Ensure effective management and planning of drivers in accordance with working time directive and EU drivers hours.
Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements.
Ensure effective communication to the whole driving team.
Liaising with workshops to ensure equipment inspected on time and defects rectified and maintained to a high standard
Strong IT literacy skills including Microsoft packages
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to spot and escalate potential problems
Solid organisation skills, able to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
Experience in a fastpaced administrative role, preferably within a warehouse/ distribution/ logistics environment
The ability to problem solve and make decisions quickly

You will be expected to work as part of a dedicated and efficient team in the transport office, routing both deliveries and collections.

A Geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom would be an advantage.
