We are looking for a Production planner to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner. Working very closely with all departments to ensure the business is working toward the same goals and time frames.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is established in their role but is looking for a greater challenge to grow their career further.

The Role

Complete production plans, schedule resourcing requirements, adjust, update and revise plans to meet production demands/resource changes
Creating and distributing production planning lists
Creating, distributing and agreeing on Work-To lists
Updating and maintaining the fabrication production schedule
Holding production meetings as needed
Creating and distributing weekly weekend working plans
Calculating available capacity by work centre to ensure accurate lead times and delivery confirmations.
Provide realtime delivery promises to Sales as required.
Work with Sales Dept on necessary order rescheduling/providing weekly delivery list updates.
Producing shift plans to ensure maximum resourcing levels are maintained.
Planning and organising overtime arrangements to meet demand levels.
Preparing plant for shipping to tight deadlines
Oversee the goodin and return and WIP to ensure accurate data.
Implement improvements and efficiency within the department to benefit the company.
Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays.
Oversee the material handling and allocation onsite.
Strong administration skills
Experience in planning, supply chain and scheduling (3+ years)
Strong IT skills particularly with Excel, Word and management systems
Health & Safety Awareness
An engineering manufacturing background would be beneficial
Excellent organisational skills
Self-Starter able to work independently and in a team
