About the service user
I am a 23 year old woman suffering with anorexia and arthritis. I am also autistic and have depression and anxiety. I am mostly dependent on either a wheelchair or my mobility scooter.

My hobbies include reading, being outside for walks if the weather is nice, puzzles, crafts and I enjoy going for coffee and going shopping.

I also love watching movies and finding a nice series.

What you would be doing

You will be supporting me to get out into the community, company at home, going for coffee and with my grocery shopping when I need it.

You will also support me with light household chores such as hoovering and changing my bed.

I may at times need mealtime support.

It is important the individual has a car with a boot big enough to fit a mobility scooter or wheelchair (My mum has a Renault Capture boot space is plenty big enough) in case I need to attend medical appointments - such as at Addenbrookes hospital.

Petrol would be compensated at a pre-agreed rate between myself and the individual.

The person I would like
Previous experience of supporting someone, either in their personal life or professionally, would be a huge benefit.

You will be someone who enjoys being outdoors and have a willingness to learn about my condition and how it impacts on everyday life.

Eating disorders are hugely complex conditions as is my autism and the physical disabilities my arthritis and anorexia cause. The individual will be someone patient and empathetic and very open minded.

You will possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role, be a good communicator, someone who is reliable, committed, tolerant with a cheerful demeanour and good sense of humour.

You will be someone who has the skills to give me support with building my confidence & self-esteem & promoting my independence.
