Description
The successful role holder will be passionate about training, developing, engaging and
inspiring learners to achieve. They will be responsible for providing high-quality training
to learners on Apprenticeship Standards in Leadership & Management, and CMI
programmes.


Key Responsibilities

and Accountabilities:


  • Conduct meaningful, measurable training needs with individual learners
though effective information advice and guidance on commencement of
programme.

  • Make effective use of learners' initial assessment to plan and implement
training for all elements of the Apprenticeship Standard including
Functional Skills.

  • Train, assess, motivate and support learners to achieve Apprenticeship
Standards, in various employment sectors and geographical locations

  • Design and facilitate learning activities including session planning and
learning resources.

  • Use approved training methods to develop the learner to achieve their
apprenticeship in a timely manner.

  • Maximise the use of elearning and use a variety of assessment methods
to ensure learners can evidence their knowledge, skills and behaviours
effectively.

  • Complete all funding and assessment documentation accurately and
timely, ensuring all resources are available on request for audit purposes.

  • Maintain employer involvement throughout the programme and
encourage all parties to be actively involved in the programme review
process.

  • Develop new business through actively promoting MTC and the University
of Sunderland to ensure a full workload is maintained.

  • Capitalise on business opportunities by supporting networking events and
jobs fairs.

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all learners in your remit with reference
to those under 18 years and vulnerable adults

  • To undertake other duties, commensurate with the grade of role as
required.


Special Circumstances:


  • Flexibility in relation to working arrangements is essential. Occasional out
of hours working may be required and the role holder may be expected to
work additional hours at peak times of the year.

  • Annual leave may be restricted to certain times of the year.
  • The role holder may be required to travel outside of the region.

Essential and Desirable Criteria


_Essential_

Qualifications:


  • Teaching qualification e.g. Cert Ed, Certificate / Diploma in Education &
Training or equivalent

  • Management qualification at level 5 or above
  • Assessor qualified (TAQA, A1/2, D32/33/36)
  • GCSE English and mathematics grade 4/C or above or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or related occupational area
  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeship Standards and workbased learning
- programmes within the business and professional sector

  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills at level
  • Understanding of DFE and ESFA funding and paperwork requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to meet deadlines
  • Active engagement in CPD and training activities
  • Customer focused
  • Positive and dynamic with the ability to problem solve
  • Strong organisational skills and able to carry out administrative duties accurately
and efficiently
Knowledge of EIF requirements

  • Internal Quality Assurance Award (V1/ D34)
  • Member of CMI, ILM, SET

Knowledge and Experience:
